NAKULA
by Swanzal Kak Kapoor
The installation inspired by Nakula represents harmony as a resonating field, where the body's energy aligns through chakras, leading to divine connection. Designed by Swanzal Kak Kapoor of Saka Studio, the piece takes the form of a lamp modeled after human proportions, symbolizing the journey of Kundalini energy rising through chakras.
Each chakra on the lamp emits light, reflecting balance between darkness and light, good and evil, and the ego and the higher self. The four spouts at the base symbolize Jung’s idea of achieving wholeness through thinking, feeling, sensing, and intuiting. The ascending chakra-based ‘Diyas’ represent the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and ether.
This lamp serves as a reminder of inner awakening, free from material desires, guiding one toward enlightenment and universal consciousness.
